What Is an Implant Denture?
Curious how implant dentures offer unparalleled stability and comfort? Watch our video to learn more about your options for a secure, confident smile.
When we talk about an implant denture, it’s simply a denture that securely attaches to dental implants. Here’s how it works: the implants, which are small titanium posts, bond with your bone, and small retentive components protrude just above your gums. The denture then clicks into these components, staying firmly in place. That’s essentially what an implant denture is—a denture that snaps onto implants for stability.
This is an excellent solution for keeping your denture secure and in place. However, there are also other options available that don’t involve a removable denture. For example, we can use ceramic teeth that are permanently attached to the implants, providing a more natural feel and appearance. We even offer a hybrid option where ceramic teeth are securely attached to the implants but can be removed by the dentist every six months for thorough cleaning.
There are many ways to approach tooth replacement with implants, but an implant denture is a significant improvement over a traditional denture. It offers greater stability, comfort, and function.
