Mini Implant Dentures: Experience the Difference
Bivona Family Dental uses two kinds of dental implants.
Conventional dental implants are larger in diameter and require a complex surgical placement process. We start by making an incision in the gums to reach your jawbone. Then, using larger and larger drills, we create a hole about 5 mm in diameter in your jawbone, large enough to fit the implant body. After we place the body, we close the incision to facilitate faster healing and allow the implant time to bond with your bone.
In 3 to 6 months, your implant will be stable enough to support your implant denture restoration! We will secure your smile to your implants to provide a strong and secure bite! However, this procedure isn’t suitable for all patients. Some patients have minimal bone structure left in their jaw due to resorption and require a bone graft to replenish lost bone. Without this additional procedure, traditional implant placement is often impossible for these patients.
Fortunately, Bivona Family Dental offers a smaller and sleeker version that is just as effective!
Mini dental implants are small and only one piece, allowing for a minimally invasive placement process. Using a tiny pilot hole in your gums and bone, we gently screw your implant into place in just one appointment. Additionally, these implants are immediately stable enough to support a temporary restoration, so you can go from missing teeth to a full and functional smile in just one day!

A snap-in denture secures onto 4-8 mini implants to provide a stable bite. Snap-in denture: This prosthetic “snaps” on and off your implants for easy cleaning and maintenance. While on, snap-in dentures provide great stability and keep your jaw healthy.
- Semi-removable roundhouse bridge: Because you never take this denture off, but we will, it is considered semi-removable. However, it is very stable when in place and provides a great look and feel.
- Non-removable roundhouse bridge: This denture is cemented in place and creates a natural appearance. Without the bulky denture base, roundhouse bridges secure directly to your implants, providing a seamless look. With excellent function and feel, this prosthetic is the most similar to your natural teeth a denture can get, allowing you to eat with no restrictions.
