The Dental Bridge Process
Curious about replacing multiple missing teeth? Watch our video below to learn how fewer implants can still give you a full, natural smile.
When it comes to replacing missing teeth, a bridge is often a great option, and the process is straightforward. In fact, it can sometimes be completed on the same day. Here’s how it works: once you’re comfortable, we numb the area painlessly, and then we prepare the surrounding teeth by reducing some of their structure, similar to how we prepare for a crown. This allows the teeth to accommodate the bridge, which will be permanently attached to replace the missing tooth.
For instance, if you’re having a tooth extracted and don’t want to go without a tooth, we can extract the tooth and place a temporary bridge immediately. This means you can leave the office with a full smile, without worrying about a gap, while your mouth heals. Once healing is complete, you’ll return, and we’ll remove the temporary bridge and fabricate a permanent bridge using our Cerec technology, all in the same day.
After your final bridge is in place, caring for it is simple—just brush and floss as you normally would. The bridge will look and function just like a natural tooth. We perform these procedures regularly, and the results are consistently beautiful. In fact, if you live in our community around Jasper, you’ve likely seen many of our bridges in people’s smiles without even realizing it—they’re that natural-looking.
A bridge is a timeless and effective solution for replacing missing teeth, offering a permanent, non-removable option that blends seamlessly with your natural smile.
