Is Getting a Dental Implant Painful?
With our mini dental implants, discomfort is always minimal, and many patients feel little to no pain. Watch our video to learn more.
Our entire team is committed to ensuring your comfort at every stage of your dental procedure—before, during, and after. We have established protocols to make sure your experience is as pleasant as possible. A common question I receive about dental implants is whether they are painful. Particularly with mini dental implants, the pain is minimal. The process often doesn’t require an incision, as we can place the implant through a small hole in your gums, about the size of an ear piercing.
We take great care to ensure you are pain-free during the procedure and focus on minimizing discomfort afterward. Most of our patients experience no pain during the implant placement and report very little discomfort afterward, often rating it as a two out of ten on a pain scale. In fact, many patients tell us they didn’t even need to take the ibuprofen or Tylenol we provided after the procedure.
