How Is L-PRF Therapy Performed?

For a faster, more comfortable recovery after surgery, we use L-PRF—your own blood’s healing power. Learn how it speeds up healing and reduces pain.

For any surgical procedure we perform, our priority is to ensure you heal quickly and comfortably. To achieve this, we utilize a technique called L-PRF (Leukocyte-Platelet Rich Fibrin), which allows us to extract the most effective growth factors directly from our own blood. The process is straightforward and highly effective.

Most of our surgeries are done under sedation, ensuring you remain comfortable throughout. During the procedure, our trained phlebotomists draw a small amount of your blood. They then use a centrifuge to separate out the components of your blood that aren’t necessary for healing, concentrating the healing factors into either a liquid or a solid membrane, often referred to as a plug.

This L-PRF material, created from your blood, is then applied to the surgical site. Whether it’s secured with sutures or simply relies on your body’s natural adhesive properties, the L-PRF accelerates the healing process significantly. For instance, if you have a tooth extracted and we want to promote fast healing, we can place a plug of this material directly into the socket. This not only speeds up healing—often by five times—but also reduces pain, enhances bone regeneration, and promotes the rapid formation of new blood vessels.

Incorporating L-PRF into your treatment ensures a faster, more comfortable recovery, with stronger, denser bone formation and overall improved healing outcomes.
